The recovery time for a lip blush tattoo typically lasts 5-10 days. During this period, you may experience a chapped sensation, but it’s generally not uncomfortable as you'll be applying a moisturizing ointment regularly to soothe any dryness. Swelling is common immediately after the procedure and usually subsides within a few hours, though a small amount may linger for a couple of days. Keep in mind, the tattooed area might appear lighter or uneven during the healing process, but this is completely normal. As your lips fully heal, the color will settle into a vibrant and uniform finish.

Lip blush typically lasts between 3 to 5 years, depending on factors such as the initial colour saturation and the desired outcome. For those who prefer a bolder, more vibrant look, a colour boost around the 3-year mark may be necessary to maintain the intensity. However, a softer, more natural look can last up to 5 years. 

 Like all of our procedures, we approach lip blush as a two-step process, and this is especially important for lip blush. The natural lip tissue often has varied tones, so in the first session, we focus on evening out those natural lip tones, creating a uniform base with a soft, natural colour. The second appointment, typically 6-8 weeks later, allows us to build up to the desired saturation, refine the shape, and achieve the perfect colour to match your look. This two-step process ensures the best results and lasting, even colour.

Most clients find the lip blush procedure to be completely tolerable. Since the lips are a delicate area, we use gentle techniques to ensure a comfortable experience and optimal results. A medical-grade topical anesthetic is applied both before and during the procedure to minimize discomfort. Many clients even report feeling so relaxed that they fall asleep during the session. While some mild tenderness or swelling may occur afterward, it typically resolves within a few hours. Overall, the process is designed to be as comfortable as possible, with minimal downtime.

While booking a separate consultation is completely optional, you're more than welcome to do so if it makes you feel more comfortable. However, it’s not necessary. There will be ample time before your procedure for your artist to fully understand the look you want to achieve and to answer any questions you may have.
